Working Gates on Bulls Cross

Ours Bulls Cross and Cows Angry layout features a private yard that services two businesses and as is the case on the real railway, the private sidings are separated from the British Railways lines, typically with a gated opening that the signalman or other railway staff operate and hold they keys to.

We have now added gates to the layout - need a bit more work on the scenics around them - more fence, weeds and the like but they are now in place and more excitingly we have made them working too powered by servo motors under the board they can open and close as required to permit wagons to enter the private siding complex.

Note: there will be steps added to the warehouse platform to access the gates next.
